EXPERIENCE
A. Legal
Practiced law for 20 years. This has been
primarily as a trial attorney representing plaintiffs in civil actions. Emphasis
of practice has been on products liability litigation involving the
investigation of the design and manufacture of defective products. Examples
of areas that were the subject of such litigation included three
wheeled ATVs, automotive crashworthiness, and tire failures. This
work has included preparing these complex cases and taking them
to trial.
B. Private Industry/Engineering
For approximately 14 years after obtaining a degree in Industrial
Engineering, worked in the industrial sector including nine years
in the aluminum industry. This included a six month overseas
assignment in Venezuela. Several years were spent in the pharmaceutical
and cosmetic industries. Experience involved working in
a heavily unionized setting in the case of the aluminum industry,
to light and non-union settings in the other areas.
C. Teaching
Adjunct faculty member at the National Park Community
College in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Over a two year span, taught
courses in Statistics, Business Labor Law, Industrial Psychology,
and Introduction to Business. In the fall of 2005, have
filled in for a recovering faculty member at Catholic High School
in Little Rock, teaching Physical Science for six weeks.

of skills in the preparation of complex trials involving design,
engineering and manufacturing issues. Emphasis placed on

and process improvement at a plant producing blood collection
bags and medical devices. Similar work at the Maybelline
initially then moving into production management as superintendent
overseeing manufacturing function.
