The Hot Springs Option
Hot Springs, Arkansas is a unique place with its National Park setting, its Bathhouse Row, the Arlington Hotel, Oaklawn Park thoroughbred race track, and three area lakes. There is also something else in the city’s history that may have a link to mediation. Hernando Desoto was in search of the Fountain of Youth and

followed rumors and tales of the Native Americans until he found Hot Springs. The reason the trail led to this place was its mystical reputation among the tribes of the region no doubt stemming from the hot water bubbling from the ground and the accompanying fog of steam. The Indian’s name for the area was the Valley of the Vapors. It was here that they found a place of soothing and healing hot waters magically coming from the earth. In this place all the different tribes would meet and take advantage of the curative powers of the hot water. It was the rule among the Native Americans that in this place, even tribes at war with each other would meet here peaceably for the benefit of all.

What better place could there be to resolve disputes than one with this history and aura? Mediation & Consulting Services has access to mediation facilities in Hot Springs and if it is convenient and agreeable between the parties, the mediation can be held there at no additional costs to the parties. Of course there are the regular facilities in Little Rock at the Regions Bank Building and MCS will travel anywhere needed to get the job done.
